Dwell was founded in 1999 by designer Christiane Lemieux in order to bring modern textile design into the home. Christiane is the former Design Director at Portico New York, a luxury home furnishings company, and a former fashion designer for Isaac Mizrahi and the Gap. Jennifer Chused joined Christiane in 2000.
