Seaside Home—Setting the
Standard for Excellence in San Diego
Luxurious
Home Furnishing Destination Defines Coastal Living
La Jolla, CALIFORNIA (June 27, 2007)—Enviable style and classic elegance unite at Seaside Home, San Diego’s premier full-service home design atelier and boutique. Anchored within the coastal villages of La Jolla and Coronado—two of Southern California’s most pristine and charming seaside communities, Seaside Home converges timeless appeal and versatile luxury to celebrate a coastal lifestyle concept that heightens the credibility of San Diego as a premier design destination. Previously untapped in the city, the notion of gracious living is right at home at Seaside—the only high-end retail location of its kind, establishing a sumptuous level of inspiration in the home furnishing industry.
Boasting an extensive collection of elite names in design and décor, Seaside showcases a chic assortment of the world’s most renowned names, including furniture by Baker, Ralph Lauren and Henredon; bedding by Anichini, Ankasa and Sferra; and accessories by William Yeoward Crystal, L’Objet, and Victoria and Richard Emprise—formerly the famed Mackenzie-Childs. “I thrive on taking risks and purchasing collections that really emit that one-of-a-kind ‘wow-factor,’” says owner, Sheryll Jackman. “Not everyone is willing to spend extra money to get the exclusive on a new, up and coming line. But that is exactly what propels Seaside to the next level—I like to be the first to have the finest pieces in my store.”
Seaside’s ensemble of Baker’s furniture and accessories is one of the largest and most admired in Southern California, custom selected by Jackman to reflect her own dedication to first-class quality with a relaxed sensibility. Gregory Heller, a regional sales manager for the coveted Baker line explains that his company is extremely discerning when it comes to choosing retail partners. “We like to select people who have a vision for the high-end furniture industry,” he says. “That is certainly Sheryll. Everything she does is top-notch.”
Jackman, who is the past President of the San Diego chapter of the ASID, is a leading industry innovator who possesses more than 25-years of experience in the fields of decorative arts, architecture and interior design. Jackman conceived Seaside Home with the mission to create an exceptional and comprehensive upscale shopping experience in a warm and inviting atmosphere. But superior brands cannot stand-alone—it takes paramount service and a tailored understanding of the clients personal needs. Sheryll’s priority to deliver seamless customer service is evidenced by the quality of the staff—which offers “concierge-level” support with an array of industry knowledge on an expert level. The friendly crew is eager to cater to any and all requests in a relaxing environment, which is designed to mirror the feeling of being in the comfort of your own home.
“Southern California possesses many of the most affluent and design savvy individuals in the world,” says Jackman. “Up until now, many passed right over San Diego when it came to home design—heading straight to Newport, Los Angeles or San Francisco to find the quality and top-of-the line brands that they desired. Seaside has changed that stereotype and opened San Diego up to a new level of luxurious industry appeal.”
